About
Principal Consultant - David Tuttle
David began his communications career twenty years ago by designing, implementing, and operating a state-of-art mission-critical 800 MHz radio system. The system serviced the public sector and first responders in three counties in Maryland. Once operational the system shared resources and technologies with adjoining counties and states making it the largest and most comprehensive interoperable radio system in the world.
Concurrently with the launch of the new radio system, David had the lead role in a comprehensive emergency services overhaul which resulted in new 911 systems, new computer-aided dispatch systems, and new facilities. Under David's guidance, these systems were designed for complete redundancy with adjoining jurisdictions.
David entered the enterprise business world upon being recruited by Nextel as a strategist for the public sector. In this capacity responsibilities included handsets form factors, functionality, and features sets which expanded into network redundancy and survivability, and user prioritization. David served as Nextel's foremost subject matter expert on push-to-talk interoperability with traditional land mobile radio systems. David build and trained an engineering team to support the company nationwide.
Before departing Nextel, David was a sales director for Nextel's custom network solutions group. In this capacity, David lead a team 12 who contracted DAS, wifi, integrated PBX, and managed custom network solutions.
After Nextel David has worked in leadership capacities for national telecom integrators specializing in in-building wireless solutions for commercial cellular and public safety. Most recently David lead the sales organization for SOLiD a leading OEM for fiber distributed antenna systems.
